“I am so proud to have an ally in the FHJC.”
During these frightening and uncertain times, we at the Fair Housing Justice Center send our best wishes for the health and safety of all our friends and supporters.
On Tuesday May 5th, the FHJC will be participating in #GivingTuesdayNow, a new global day of giving and unity created as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
While in many ways our current health crisis has brought out the best in people, it is also producing new forms of discrimination, as health care workers and others are being unlawfully evicted from their homes. Throughout this crisis and beyond, the FHJC continues to fight for open, inclusive and accessible communities for EVERYONE.
In the coming weeks, we will be sharing a series of video appeals to increase awareness and support for our fight against housing discrimination. The first video in this series was created by FHJC Board member Lisa Darden. Prior to joining the board, she was an FHJC tester for over 10 years. As the Fair Housing Month of April comes to a close, please take a moment to watch this video and join Lisa in supporting FHJC today.
To make a gift, visit fairhousingjustice.org or text FAIRHOUSING to 44-321. Also, please consider forwarding this message to anyone you feel may be willing to join us in the fight to eliminate housing discrimination.
Stay safe everyone!
