2017 Acting for Justice Awards

On September 25, 2017, the Fair Housing Justice Center (FHJC) held its 12^th Anniversary Acting for Justice Awards benefit at the NYU Kimmel Center. It was an evening infused with inspiration, entertainment and a celebration of FHJC’s twelve years of accomplishments. It included a VIP Cocktail Hour for sponsors, supporters and honorees, followed by a general reception. The awards program, hosted by Broadway actor and concert/recording artist Darius de Haas, celebrated the FHJC’s accomplishments and recognized 13 individuals and organizations that made a significant impact in the struggle for fair housing. The evening featured a presentation by legal scholar and acclaimed author, Sheryll Cashin, a performance by 3-time Grammy nominated R&B artist Ryan Shaw, and a raffle for two tickets to the smash Broadway musical ‘Hamilton’.
